While we won’t know the full effects of the global pandemic for some time, there is an understanding that things might never be quite the same. Beyond straining our healthcare systems and economies, the spread of Covid-19 has shaped the way we connect, from doing business to going shopping. Restrictions and precautions made screens and WIFI even more important than before. For many people this meant embracing a new way of doing things, for others it meant speeding up future plans. What we do know, is that the ability to operate and engage virtually is most likely here to stay. That is why we are launching another additional service to cater to our ‘new normal’, Virtual Home Search.

Home is Where the Heart is

At the very least, weeks of almost constant lockdown has definitely underlined how important our homes are. For expats especially, being so far from their native land makes it even more important that their home (away from home) be a place they can relax and feel safe. When it comes to global mobility and relocation, finding the right home has always been a huge factor in happiness and productivity; so it needs to be done correctly. Our Virtual Home Search Service is intended to ensure that assignees can get the same quality of results, whilst adhering to the highest standards of safety. It allows our Client Account Managers to understand your needs and share appropriate options, deliver live tours and answer questions completely online. Assignees will be able to access the EER Portal and view properties, community videos and relevant information; and liaise with their Client Account Manager over next steps. Let’s face it, finding your new home should be as stress-free as possible, so how about being able to do it from the comfort of your own sofa?

How it Works

Depending on your needs, we have a range of options to suit your assignee’s preferences and organisation’s budget. Our focus is on providing ease of access and streamlining the process to get the right results in as efficient a time frame as possible.

Step 1: The Wish-List

A Client Account Manager will conduct a needs assessment with the assignee and recommend the most appropriate course of action, taking into account budget and a list of requirements.

Step 2: The Browsing

The Client Account Manager will show the assignee a selection of properties in the virtual home search, including property videos, photos of amenities and interactive maps. They will also include community videos that describe the area and its schools, supermarkets, parks, facilities and location in proximity to other destinations. All of this information will also be available to access via the EER Portal in a bespoke section for the assignee during the process.

Step 3: The Finer Details

Once the assignee thinks they might have found their dream property, the Client Account Manager will take them on a live virtual tour of the home. They can walk them through every aspect of the property and the assignee can ask questions or view elements they need a closer look at. The call will also be recorded and shared with the assignee for their reference.

Ultimately, EER is there to ensure that finding a home is as efficient and as safe as possible. We want to make sure you don’t miss a moment when it comes to starting the next step and that assignees can hit the ground running with a base they love.
