The new schools, most of which are new branches of older institutions, will be located across the capital and Al Ain, according to the Abu Dhabi Education Council (Adec), which regulates the education sector in the emirate.

The total number of new school seats that will become available was not immediately available, but the majority of places will be in schools located in the suburbs of the capital city.

Among the new institution is Royal Academy in Mohammad Bin Zayed City. When fully built, the school is expected to accommodate 2,000 students enrolled from kindergarten, and will offer the British curriculum.
