Total foreign investment in Qatar has amounted to an estimated $144 billion (QR 526 billion), according to the Qatar foreign investment survey 2015 released by the Ministry of Development Planning and Statistics (MDPS) on Wednesday.
The survey revealed that the country’s total inward investments increased by $440 million (QR1.6 billion) from 2013 to 2014, reported The Peninsula Qatar.
In the same time period, other foreign investments such as loans increased from $4.8 billion (QR17.3 billion) to $84 billion (QR306 billion).
Qatar’s Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) totalled $39 billion (QR141.1 billion) and its portfolio investments equalled $22 billion (QR78.6 billion).
