2023 has been another non-stop year for EER Middle East, and probably for you as well. As maybe the first year that has felt distanced enough from the pandemic for most companies to look ahead instead of just staying afloat, it has been transformative for many industries and sectors. We have seen this most evidently in the types of client enquiries we are receiving, from both existing and new names, all of whom are looking to launch or grow their presence in the exciting markets of the Middle East. At EER Middle East, our year has been busier than ever, with so many updates and expansion news to share, plus a baby on the way (congratulations to our Managing Director Marie O’Neill!), we thought it was a good time to take a look back at all that has happened in 2023 and how it is shaping our outlook for the New Year.
EER Middle East Launches in Saudi Arabia
One of the biggest events in 2023, and perhaps the one we are most proud of, is our official launch in Saudi Arabia. Having operated across the Middle East for over 18 years, we not only understand the unique opportunities of the region, but also the nuances of its relocation, immigration and corporate services processes. One of the top goals of our co-owners Marie and Aideen following their management buy-out was to ensure that EER Middle East could expand that expertise and apply it to the Saudi market in order to increase our services for clients from all over the world. Our focus was on creating a reliable, on-the-ground base with invaluable local knowledge that could cater to clients of all types and sizes. In June, that goal was realised with the opening of our Riyadh office and the start of EER Middle East Relocation Services in Saudi Arabia. As the General Manager of our KSA operation, Aideen Hopkins spearheaded this initiative, gaining dual residency so she can split her time between the UAE and Saudi. Today, our Saudi office is staffed with expert consultants who have the crucial connections and experience to assist clients and assignees with both relocation and immigration services. Anyone who follows our social media will also note that many of our senior leaders are regular visitors to Riyadh, lending their expertise to our team and helping to ensure that clients in Saudi can expect the same high-level of service and support. Given the landscape and potential of this dynamic destination, we anticipate that our presence in Saudi will only grow in 2024 and that we will soon be able to announce the launch of our corporate services division. Make sure you stay tuned!
Leading for the Future
It has been two years since Marie and Aideen took over as co-owners of EER Middle East and the company has undoubtedly thrived under their visionary leadership. In addition to their ambitious expansion plans, they have remained dedicated to creating a stable and secure environment that benefits the team, our partners and our clients. Both of their expertise in business continuity has been reflected in their succession planning and the changes they have made to the senior leadership team. They welcomed Andrea Unser as the new Director of Strategy and Transformation. Her insightful contributions have already proved invaluable in terms of the company’s communications, strategic planning and output. All of our team leaders for the relocation, immigration and corporate services divisions, Janice Trinidad, Kelly Labuschagne and Dimple Torralba, have not only inspired excellence amongst the consultants, but they have become integral voices in the management and structure of the organisation. Having just hosted our Leadership Strategic Planning meeting, there is no doubt that this team, along with the support of our expert board, is ready to steer EER Middle East into even greater heights in 2024.
In Case You Missed It
It would be impossible to cover everything we did in 2023, especially if we want you to keep reading! But this was also the year we were the proud recipients of a Heart Relocation Partner Award, we assisted UAE clients with the introduction of the new corporate tax and we launched our bespoke corporate governance packages. It was also another bumper year for industry events with both Marie and Aideen travelling all over the world to participate in, and speak at, major events and conferences, providing their expertise in collaborative forums that help to further our industry as we move forward. While our co-owner Marie O’Neill will be busy with her new addition at the start of 2024, it is still set to be our biggest year yet and we look forward to sharing all of our news and updates with you in the coming months.
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank you, dear reader, for being part of our journey and for all the support you have given us. We understand how crucial all of the stakeholders of EER Middle East are, from our suppliers to our partners, our consultants to our administrative whizzes, our assignees to our clients. We intend to continue our commitment to you that we will always provide the highest standards of expertise, guidance, support and quality.
