Why not start your day with a swim in the sea or a wander along the sand in your lunch hour? How about working from a café overlooking the Arabian Gulf or taking a break for a luxury spa treatment?  All this, and more, is possible with the new UAE Remote Working Visa and all for only $1,500!

Is the visa only available for certain nationalities?

No, there are currently no nationality restrictions unless an individual poses a national security risk.

Is it open to current UAE residents?

No, the programme is only available for those who don’t currently have a UAE residency visa or one under process.

Does the UAE have remote working spaces?

There are lots of co-working spaces available from hot desks to meeting rooms, in commercial spaces and hotels.  The majority of cafes and shopping centres also offer free wifi so you can work from multiple locations.

What about renting property or accessing services in the UAE?

The Remote Visa ensures that applicants are issued with an Emirates ID card which allows you to access multiple services including banking facilities, sending children to school and renting a home easily.  There has also been an increase in the amount of short-term letting options, so you have plenty to choose from.

Can I travel internationally during the period of my Remote Visa validity?

Yes, you can enjoy multiple entries in and out of the UAE for work or leisure travel, but if you stay away for a period of more than six months in total, the visa will be automatically nullified.
