For us 2020 represents a profound stage in our growth, as it is the year in which we celebrate our 15th anniversary. Milestones such as these are important achievements for any successful business, particularly in such a diverse and competitive region. At Executive Expatriate Relocations, reaching our 15th year of operations is an opportunity for us to reflect on our heritage and share our vision for the future. To celebrate, we are launching a brand new logo as the first step in a year of exciting developments and announcements. We will also be hosting a very special event to mark the occasion on 25th March 2020 at which we hope to celebrate with colleagues, clients and friends of the past, present and future. Many might remember 2005 as the year You Tube launched, the Airbus A380 made its first flight and Star Wars Episode III hit cinemas, but for us it will always be the year EER was founded, right here in Dubai. Expats had long been flocking to the shores of the UAE, both to join home-grown organisations or through a move with an international brand, but at this time few avenues of support existed to assist with acclimatisation. Moving to a new country, and potentially a new role, can be a very stressful experience and one that could compromise performance if left unaided. It was this gap in the market that inspired the establishment of Executive Expatriate Relocations. We knew we could help companies and individuals cut through the red tape and get settled more smoothly. Whilst our original focus was on relocations, we quickly realised the value of providing expert help with immigration services. Accessing reliable assistance to navigate the nuances of the region would create a smooth transition that would allow new employees to hit the ground running as quickly as possible. Given our experience and knowledge, adding a corporate services division was a natural evolution in our development that allowed us to expand our services to our clients and provide an expert resource for brands to start-up in or enter into a rapidly growing market-place.
As we look forward to the next 15 years, the entire team at EER is committed to building on our current achievements. Our team, which originally numbered just 2, is now comprised of 26 full time and 30 part time employees and includes over 13 nationalities and 11 languages. We are extremely proud that 50% of our board is female following the appointment of Marie O’Neill and Aideen Hopkins both of whom have brought visionary insight and innovative leadership to EER during their tenure. As the spearheads of our senior management team they have also been responsible for delivering significant organisational growth. As of 2017 we are the first, and only, company in the Middle East to be awarded the European Relocation Association (EuRA) Global Quality Seal which is based entirely on ISO standards, helping us to achieve our goal of being the number one company in the region for relocation, immigration and corporate services.
Our ultimate goal for the future is to ensure that we remain the best choice for our clients and we are able to provide the best quality of service. Our focus will very much be on digitization and automation as we work to streamline the ways in which we can assist and communicate with clients and customers. In addition to our relocation app, this year will see the launch of our new communication and management portal that will allow clients to securely transfer documents, track updates in real time and access salient account information at the touch of a button. Alongside our property check-in app, these paperless solutions offer more transparency and efficiency as well as being great for the planet and our clients. Our soon-to-be-revealed expansion plans won’t just cover services and geography (stay tuned!) we are also committed to our on-going CSR initiatives with a percentage of our annual profits dedicated to giving back to the community and aiding vital projects around the world.
