Oman begins construction on new Rotana Hotel

The Sundus Rotana Hotel is scheduled to launch in February 2017, marking the start of the first phase of the mega Sundus Airport Heights project in Oman.

Mohammed al Ardhi, Chairman of Sundus Investments and Selim el Zyr, Vice Chairman of Rotana laid the foundation block of Sundus Rotana Hotel to commemorate the beginning of construction last week, according to the Oman Daily Observer.

The 4-star business hotel will be open to the public in the first quarter of 2017.

The hotel will feature 215 guest rooms including suits, a ballroom, six meeting rooms, an executive lounge, a boardroom and a fully equipped business centre. Guests at the hotel will also have access to an up to the minute fitness centre and swimming pool, all day dining lobby lounge café, and Teatro – Rotana’s exclusive dining concept.

Phase 2 of the project will include the development of Sundus Arjaan, a luxury hotel apartment by Rotana showing off 85 luxury flats including a studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom units, a lobby lounge café, all day dining and 24 hour room service.
