Dubai Opera House work to complete in August

The developer of the much-awaited project, Emaar, said that the building work would come to an end in August 2016.

The project is showing ‘good progress’ with the concrete and steel structure works completed.

The update added: “Ongoing works are vertical transportation, interior fit out, stage engineering, joinery, façade, roofing and metal.”

“There are also other installations such as water features, kitchen equipment, auditorium seating, fit out, MEP and finishing.

The Opera District is Dubai Opera is a 2,000-seat, multi-format performing arts venue.

The design of Dubai Opera is deeply rooted in Dubai’s maritime history, with the Arabian dhow becoming the inspiration behind the architecture of the building.
