Emirates, DHA out to boost Dubai medical tourism

Dubai-SkylineDubai: Shaikh Ahmad Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation and Chairman and CEO of Emirates airline & Group, and Humaid Mohammad Al Qatami, chairman of the board and director-general of the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in order to promote medical tourism in Dubai and fulfil the emirate’s goal of attracting 500,000 medical tourists by 2020.

The MoU, signed on the sidelines of the Arab Travel Market, aims cultivate Emirates airline’s international status and widespread travel routes to fulfil the medical tourism project, Dubai Health Experience (DXH), which was launched by Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council.

As part of the MoU, Emirates Airline packages and tickets can be booked through DXH’s website www.dxh.ae, which is a first-of-its-kind website that has all the relevant medical tourism information including medical tourism packages, tickets and hotel bookings under a single portal.
